Lucky Lightning Slots
Lucky Lightnin’ slots earn its name with the incredible speed of play that one can achieve with this game. You can place your bets at the beginning of each round and spin simply by clicking the appropriate button; that’s as close to a traditional slot machine game as possible in a PC format. The lightning-is-a-perfect-slot-game takes the classic slot game and mixes in a lightning bolt!), which is traditional for paying out a small fortune, as gaming goes, and making beautifully designed symbols with a lot of personality, not to mention winners with multi-hits, which means the paytable has the foresight to create wins.
What's it about?
The terms 'fortunate' and 'illumination' aren't typically used together, but that perception is the work of Wild Streak Gaming and their recent slot title, Lucky Lightning. This game is packed with all sorts of features—not just the ones that give players the impression it's an old-school slot machine (those are some great features). Structurally, Lucky Lightning works differently than any other game on the floor, seeming to break many rules that safe designers tend to follow. Most importantly, it doesn't reward players very often, but hope springs eternal with this 243-way-manner game, which is made worse by the appearance of generous wilds. To amplify the ho-humming experience further, the game's poor visuals and awful soundtrack couple to create a drab atmosphere in which the player seems to be mired, as much a part of the game's bad luck as the game itself.
Symbols of the Game
Lucky Lightning uses the traditional symbols of a slot game: cherries, red 7s, bars, and blanks. All these characters possess respective payouts and combinations that can win players money. They appear on screen without fanfare, as you might expect from a game that so ardently wishes to stay within the confines of the purest form of slot gameplay. The stakes are high enough. To put this in perspective, the payoffs would be flipping ace-high in a poker game.
Payouts of the game
Those ascribe a lot of value, with generous payoffs, to the individual game symbols (and personality here is at a premium). And why do I keep bringing up personality? Because that brings us (me anyway) to a perfect segue. Lucky Lightning is a fast-paced slot with excellent symbols and good payoffs. And the paytable is on top of your screen, which is clear and memory-friendly. You can place up to 3 coins on the pay line, which means if you go all in, the top bet limit of the game is $15 a go.
How to Play
Buttons and controls are intuitive and clearly labeled. It is an inspired decision to include an excellent autoplay function that allows the player to set any spins that will run automatically until you stop them, which can be done at any moment you desire. The game will automatically stop only if you have a big win or run out of credits.
Left-to-right wins are for adjacent combinations of three or more matching symbols. Ten icons form the regular pays, half of which are cards 10 through A, and the other half icons of ancient Greek culture. Of the latter, the most valuable symbol is, appropriately, the winged horse Pegasus. Also appearing in this scene are many eagles, the Minotaur, a presumably female deity (could be Hera), and Zeus. Five of these pay off at 2 to 10 times the stake.
Bonus Features And Wilds
Pay close attention to the golden Money Symbols that, when playing Lucky Lightning, trigger the Wild ReSpin and Collection Feature. They only appear on reels 3 to 6, displaying random cash values or jackpots. Wild symbols that hit reels 1 and 2 have a random chance to expand significantly the grid size for the current spin. When activated, the 6th reel is Money Symbols only. After winnings are paid, all visible Money Symbols are locked, and the reels from 3 onward are respun. After the re-spin, the adjacent Money Symbols from reel 3 onward share their values, and those amounts are awarded. Money Symbols
If wilds are on the first couple of reels and Money Symbols cover reels 3 to 5, you get paid not just once but twice for the total value of the coverall. Bonus symbols that sometimes appear on your reels do not do this. They award you free spins when they are in view.
